Some fire protects.
Some fire heals.
And some reminds us of the power we had forgotten was ours.

Beneath the blazing Egyptian sun stands Sekhmet — fierce, powerful and unwavering.

In ancient Egyptian tradition, Sekhmet was the lioness goddess associated with the scorching heat of the sun, war, protection and healing. She embodied a fascinating duality: the power capable of destruction was also the power capable of defending, restoring and protecting life.

In The Keeper of the Burning Sun, Sekhmet stands looking across an ancient landscape washed in ochre, sandstone, crimson and gold.

Beside her waits the lioness, mirroring the quiet strength of the goddess herself. Neither needs to roar to demonstrate her power. They simply stand — watchful, grounded and unafraid.

Above them burns the great solar disc, flooding the landscape with light. Sekhmet carries a staff crowned by the sun, while her crimson robes move through the dry grasses like flame.

The Keeper of the Burning Sun is not about anger for anger's sake.
She is about the fire that rises when something precious needs protecting.

The courage to establish boundaries.
The strength to stand firmly in our own power.
And the understanding that fierce and gentle are not opposites — both can exist within the same soul.

Sekhmet reminds us that we do not need to make ourselves smaller to make others comfortable.
There are times to soften.
There are times to heal.
And there are times to burn brightly enough to remember exactly who we are.
