The Founding Five

The Founding Five

An Original Rachel Beams Art Painting

They came to test the magic. They stayed to help it grow.

Beneath a shimmering moon, where the woodland meets the sea, five little guinea pigs gather amongst the wild grasses and delicate flowers.

Each has a personality of their own. One watches curiously, another sits proudly beneath the moonlight, while two appear to be sharing a whispered secret. Together, they form an unlikely little gathering, brought together by friendship, curiosity and a shared sense of adventure.

But behind these five enchanting characters lies a rather special story.

The Founding Five was created to celebrate the very first group of volunteers who helped bring Paint a Little Moonlit Magic, my online painting classes, to life.

Affectionately known as Rachel's Guinea Pig Gang, these five wonderful people offered their time, encouragement and honest feedback as I took my first steps into teaching others to paint.

What began as an experiment soon became something much more meaningful. A little community was born, friendships grew, confidence blossomed and the magic continued long after that first painting session.

This painting is my tribute to those five special people who believed in something new and helped turn a creative dream into reality.

The moonlit water represents the journey ahead, the flowers symbolise growth, and the five guinea pigs remind us that sometimes the most wonderful things begin when we're brave enough to try something different.

And as for those two guinea pigs whispering on the right?
Well, some secrets are best kept within the gang!

A celebration of friendship, new beginnings, shared creativity and the magic that happens when we grow together.
