I'll guide you through each painting using a simple five-step process, explaining not just how we do something, but why.

How We'll Paint Together
My Five-Step Painting Process
Every painting begins somewhere. We'll break it down into five manageable stages.

Plan the Composition
Decide where the main elements belong and how to create balance.

Sketch the Scene
Use simple shapes and proportions to guide the painting.

Block in the Values
Establish light and dark areas to create depth and atmosphere.

Add the Colours
Build the painting through colour, blending and layering.

Bring It to Life
Add details, textures and the finishing touches that make it yours.

What Will You Need?
You don't need expensive art supplies to join us. I believe creativity should be accessible, and I'll always encourage you to use what you already have.

Meet Rachel
Hello, I'm Rachel!
I'm the artist behind Rachel Beams Art, where I spend my creative days painting nature's magic with love.
My artwork is inspired by woodland creatures, moonlit skies, ancient landscapes and the stories connecting us to the natural world.
As a child, I painted alongside my dad, discovering the simple pleasure of creating something together.
Years later, following his death, I returned to his paints. What began as a deeply personal way of finding comfort gradually grew into something I could never have imagined.
Painting gave me a way to express feelings, explore possibilities and reconnect with myself. Now I'd love to share some of that joy with you.
I don't want to teach you to become another Rachel Beams. I want to help you discover the artist you might already have inside you.

We might all begin with the same reference image, but every painting develops its own personality. Different brushstrokes, different colours and different little details. That's exactly how it should be.
Your painting doesn't need to look like anyone else's. It only needs to become yours.

Do I need any painting experience?
Not at all! Many classes are designed with complete beginners in mind. I'll guide you through each stage.
Are the classes live?
Yes. You'll paint alongside me in a live online session, with opportunities to ask questions and receive guidance.
What if my painting looks different?
Wonderful! That's part of the experience. I'll teach the techniques, but your interpretation makes your painting special.
Will I need lots of supplies?
No. You'll receive a materials list for each class. I encourage you to use what you already have. Optional starter kits are available for £20.
Can I join if I've painted before?
Absolutely. Practise techniques, experiment with different approaches or simply enjoy painting with others.
How do I book?
Choose the four-week course to book all four Monday mornings together, or choose a Paint-Along to select your preferred evening. Complete your booking securely through our website.
How will I join my class?
You'll receive joining instructions and preparation information before your class.
